No! Long term retardant is non hazardous to any vegetation, children or any animal.

Apply LTR to the intermediate zone, the first zero to thirty feet from your home. With larger properties with a lot of vegetation, we recommend vegetation management and additional application of fire retardants up to 100 feet of the property, Zone 2 of Defensible Space.

LTR remains affective until six inches of heavy rain fall. Depending on the amount of heavy rain, you will need to be resprayed coming spring time.
