FireHazard™ Score
Wildfire Services Group has developed a wildfire risk measurement called the FireHazard™ Score. This desktop risk-measurement provides you with a quantified and qualified wildfire risk rating on a scale of 1 to 7. The lower the number, the lower the risk. The pre-visit FireHazard™ Score is based on 18 data points in 3 categories of relevant data: ignition source, geospatial, and geoscience. For properties that receive a score of 2.0 or above, we recommend a FireHazard™ Report. The goal is to assess the risk and identify the hazards.
FireHazard™ Report
Wildfire Services Group’s ground-based wildfire risk assessment called the FireHazard™ Report, considers over 180 points of relevant data in 7 categories: ignition source, geospatial, geoscience, location, hardening, defensible space, and values at risk. The report is delivered by Certified Wildfire Mitigation Specialists (NFPA). Ground-level photographs, measurements, and other data are used to assemble the report. Standards are rooted in Cal Fire, FireWise (NFPA), and Fire Safe standards. This process often yields a revised FireHazard™ Score. The goal is to assess the risks, identify the hazards, and prioritize the mitigation steps.
