Against Wildfire

Assess, Mitigate, Maintain

Wildfire Services Group offers a systems-based approach and end-to-end solutions that identify wildfire risks and mitigate hazards. Using Proprietary Tools, we develop objective, standards-based, risk mitigation plans, and produce easy-to-understand reports that drive measurement, management, and maintenance priorities.

Testimonial

“We had Wildfire Services assess our property and recommend actions we could take to mitigate fire risk. Andrew, Joel and Chris could not have been more knowledgeable and professional. They even went to extra effort to bring in other experts on their team when some of our circumstances called for additional input. The potential of fire is a topic that brings up much fear and emotion, of course, and the team was great at educating us and discussing alternatives in a way that allowed us to have the conversation with calm and confidence. I couldn't recommend Wildfire Services more highly. Professionalism, punctuality, quality, responsiveness, value.”

Current Public Projects

  • Auburn Project Lands: Fuel Management

In partnership with the Bureau of Reclamation, Wildfire Services Group is creating and maintaining 1,230 acres of shaded fuel break in the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) of the Auburn State Recreation Area, along the American Canyon rim of the communities of Applegate, Monte Verde Estates, Auburn, King Hill, Todd Valley, Georgetown-Greenwood, Auburn Lake Trails, and Cool-Pilot Hill in Placer and El Dorado Counties, California.

The New Paradigm

Wildfires are growing in scale, frequency, ferocity, and cost. We must recognize this new paradigm and help reshape the approach to mitigation and response around these integrated facts.

  • We’re in a drought & flood cycle

  • The atmospheric bubble over the West amplifies the hot/dry phase of this cycle

  • Development in the Wildland Urban Interface (WUI) continues to grow

  • There is a large under-managed fuel load in our forests
